Things everyone should keep in mind before construction:

The Entrance-The entrance of your house must be east facing. The only other believable direction can be north-east. Entrance should not be in the south-west direction as it is believed to be the entering point of devil energy and brings misfortune.

Kitchen-South-east corner of your home is ideal and all the cooking should be done in east facing. One thing you should keep in your mind that kitchen should not face towards main door of your house because if positive energy will enter in your house from the main door will not be able to passed on if the kitchen faces the main door.

Bedroom-The bedroom should be at the southwest corner of an east facing house. Overhead beams in the bedroom should be avoided. Square and rectangular shaped bedrooms are recommended.

Toilet-The north-east corner of room is considered as favourable for the washroom. But if you are finding it difficult then you could have a washroom in the south-east. It is also suggested that the toilets, kitchen and Puja room in the house should not be adjacent to each other. The sink which is also known as washbasin should be in the north-east, north or east side of the bathroom and if you want bathtub in your house so it should be located in the north-east, west or east.
