The Communication Skills / Professional Communication Question Paper (2022–23) is designed to evaluate a student’s ability to use English effectively in academic, professional, and social environments. With a total of 70 marks, the paper focuses on essential communication components such as vocabulary building, grammar, writing skills, listening, speaking, leadership traits, and stress management. It encourages students to not only learn language structures but also apply them in real-life communication situations.

The exam begins with Section A, a set of short-answer questions aimed at testing quick recall and understanding of basic communication concepts. Topics include word formation processes, constructing words using specific root forms, enhancing listening skills, and distinguishing hearing vs. listening. Additional questions focus on methods of writing paragraphs, characteristics of effective writing, importance of vocabulary in impactful speaking, and the significance of audience analysis in presentations. The section also explores the role of leaders in organizational growth and analyzes physical, psychological, and behavioural symptoms of stress. This section evaluates deep understanding, application of concepts, and the ability to write structured, coherent answers.
