SECTION A – Short Answer Section
This section contains short conceptual questions related to human values, happiness, consciousness, and ethical understanding. These questions test the basic knowledge of human aspirations, values in relationships, and harmony in society.
Question 1: Define Value with an Example.
Answer:
Value refers to the importance or worth that we give to something in our life which helps maintain harmony and happiness.
Example:
Trust in a relationship is a value that strengthens friendship and cooperation between people.
Question 2: How is Happiness different from Excitement?
Answer:

The two basic human aspirations are:

Prosperity (Samriddhi) – The feeling of having enough physical facilities.

Question 2: Explain that Self is the Seer, Doer and Enjoyer.

Roles of the Self:
Seer: Observes and understands situations.
Doer: Makes decisions and performs actions.
Enjoyer: Experiences happiness or sadness.
The body is only an instrument used by the self to perform actions.
Example:
When a person decides to speak kindly, the self makes the decision, while the body (mouth and voice) performs the action.
Question 3: What are Comprehensive Human Goals?
Answer:
The four comprehensive human goals are:
Right Understanding – Correct knowledge about life and values.
Prosperity – Availability of physical facilities.
Fearlessness (Trust in Society) – Living without fear in society.
Coexistence with Nature – Harmony with environment and other living beings.
If these goals are not identified, society may face problems like conflicts, corruption, and lack of trust.
SECTION C – Descriptive Section
This section tests deeper understanding of ethical conduct, self-exploration, and harmony in human life and society.
Question 1: Explain the Process of Self-Exploration.

Self-exploration is the process of verifying values and understanding through self-observation and reasoning.
Steps:
Listen to the proposal or idea.
Reflect and analyze it within oneself.
Verify whether it leads to happiness and harmony.
Accept it if it is correct.
Importance:
Helps develop right understanding.
Improves decision making.
Leads to ethical and responsible behavior.
Question 2: Why cannot our senses be the source of continuous happiness?
Answer:
Sensory pleasures such as taste, sound, and sight provide only temporary excitement.
Reasons:
Sensory experiences are short-lived.
Repeated stimulation reduces satisfaction.
They depend on external objects.
Continuous happiness comes from:

Answer:
Ethical human conduct means living according to universal human values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and cooperation.
It includes:

Ethical conduct ensures personal satisfaction, social harmony, and sustainable development.
