SECTION – A (10 × 2 = 20 Marks)
Short, conceptual questions designed to test moral understanding and fundamental definitions.

| (h) | SVDD & SSDD | SVDD: Sadhan-Vivran-Dhara-Dhriti; SSDD: Samadhan-Samridhi-Darshan-Darshan. (contextual ethical frameworks). |

| (j) | Love | Feeling of care, respect, and responsibility that forms the foundation of all human relationships. |
SECTION – B (5 × 10 = 50 Marks)
Descriptive questions testing understanding, reflection, and practical application of human values.
Human as Co-existence of Self and Body:
Human being = combination of Self (conscious entity) and Body (material entity).
Self desires happiness, body needs physical comfort. Both must exist in harmony.
Value Education & Its Need:
Enables right understanding and ethical conduct.
Promotes sustainable happiness, peace, and mutual respect in society.
“I am the Seer, Doer, and Enjoyer”:
The Self perceives (seer), decides and acts (doer), and experiences results (enjoyer).
The body acts as an instrument of the Self.
Respect vs Disrespect:
Respect = acceptance of others’ inherent value.
Disrespect = denial of value.
Naturally, respect is universally acceptable.
Meaning of Prosperity:
Feeling of having enough material and emotional resources for self and family.
Achieved through understanding, not endless accumulation.
Self-Exploration:
Process of understanding oneself through right thinking and introspection.
Includes self-verification, natural acceptance, and experiential learning.
Four Orders in Nature:
(1) Material order, (2) Plant/Bio order, (3) Animal order, (4) Human order.
Each has unique characteristics and contributes to universal harmony.
Vision of a Happy & Prosperous Life:
Balance between Sukh (inner happiness) and Suvidha (material comfort).
Achieved through right understanding, relationships, and harmony with nature.
SECTION – C (2 × 15 = 30 Marks)
Analytical and reflective questions requiring application of ethics in real-life situations.
Q3. Programs to Improve Body Health
Maintain balance through yoga, exercise, meditation, and proper diet.
Avoid overindulgence and stress.
Q4. Competence in Professional Ethics
Competence = ability to make ethical decisions while fulfilling professional duties.
Requires:
Technical Competence: Subject knowledge and skill.
Ethical Competence: Honesty, transparency, and social responsibility.
Example: Engineer prioritizing safety over profit.
Q5. Holistic Technology
Technology aligned with human and ecological well-being.
Examples from Indian tradition:
Use of windmills and water wheels for sustainable energy.
Rainwater harvesting and organic farming for ecological balance.
