SECTION A – Short Answer Questions (2 × 10 = 20 Marks)

d. Differentiate between Opto-TRIAC and Opto-SCR.
e. Define Average Value of Voltage.
f. Describe the working of Feedback Diode.
g. Describe Induction Heating.
h. Name any two Pressure Transducers.
i. Discuss why Power Factor Control is necessary.
j. Discuss the need for Data Communication in Industrial Electronics.

b. Describe construction and working of Opto-Isolators.
c. Explain working of Relay using Opto-SCR with a suitable block diagram.
d. Explain Timer Circuit using SCR.
e. Explain SCADA with a suitable block diagram and its applications.
